Harijan, Sodha and Meghwal people of Gujarat practice the technique of Gambhiro and Khudi embroidery which originated in the Sindhi tribal community. The function of this craft is to fuse the layers of fabric together. After evenly counting the fabric threads, geometric pattern are created by repeating the stitches. Quilts are embroidered using this technique.
