Prabartana is an outcome of the research work done by UBING – a leading policy research, campaign and advocacy organization in Bangladesh. Since its inception Prabartana has been continuing the research.
Prabartana works both for consumers and producers – to minimize the gap between producer and consumer. Prabartana appears as a clearing house both in the national and international market to promote the products of the handloom sector.
Prabartana is actively involved in different weaving communities and has been marketing their products. Besides handloom, handcrafted, leather product, ceramics, embroidery, etc are found in the shop. Prabartana also runs a factory to produce yardage of different designs- Produced with cotton yarn and raw silk.
