Adithi is set up to enable the empowerment of women through economic and social development of women and girl children of poor families (living below the poverty line) in India to achieve the elimination of hunger in a few demonstration projects.

Adithi aims at the empowerment through awareness generation programmes, leadership development, livelihood and income generation programmes in key economic sectors by forming self sustainable groups.
