A high grade plain cotton cloth, especially noted for fineness, texture and durability. They were woven in Madras and Golconda
areas and were the kind of calico best suited for chintz. Dimensions were about 8 yards of length and 1 yard of width.
Mostly produced in white colour but occasionally in red.
