Pure cotton cloth woven of dyed yarn with stripes and checks. Produced on the Coromandel coast and in Bengal. They were exported to South East Asian countries from Masulipatnam. Later Bengal Ginghams were extensively exported to Europe in the second half of the seventeenth century. Length usually 21 yards.
