A very coarse and strong cloth, from which dhotis were apparently made. It is very well known from its use as loin cloth. The records make it clear that Duttees were strong coarse cloth used mainly for sails and as a packing material. Manufactured in Western India. Usually sold in length of 12 to 15 yards and 1 yard width. Woven chiefly at Dolkha in the Western India.
