The “Like-Minded Countries Contribution to the Objectives and Principles on the Protection of Genetic Resources and Preliminary Draft Articles on the Protection of Genetic Resources” provides the following definition of “associated traditional knowledge” at Article 1(2)(a): “knowledge which is dynamic and evolving, generated in a traditional context, collectively preserved and transmitted from generation to generation including but is not limited to know-how, skills, innovations, practices and learning, that subsist in genetic resources.”
