The Potloi skirt is made of velvet or silk and is usually red or maroon in color. It is decorated with intricate designs made of sequins, beads, and mirrors. The skirt is worn with a blouse and a shawl called an Ushnaphi, which is made of fine cotton or silk and is also decorated with similar designs.

Potloi is a cylindrical skirt made up of thick fabric that is ornamented with sequins and mirrors. It is worn by Meitei Hindu brides during their wedding ceremony and also by the dancers in the Manipuri Rasa Leela dance.
