ECOTA Forum was established in 1990 to act as a national co-ordinating body of producer organisations. It aims to provide strong network support for fair trading opportunities and better livelihoods for the artisans, by encouraging unity and solidarity in the crafts sector.
Presently ECOTA Forum consists of sixteen member organisations (with a total of 75,000 artisans), all of whom are involved in crafts and development activities in Bangladesh. Each organisation is engaged in craft development activities which promote income generation for the poor.
