The Museum activities of the Department is to bring the students in touch with rural life through its collection of objects of folk culture. Things which enriched the cultural gamut of rural life and which are still so valued and cherished are to-day threatened by standardization. The Museum possesses a collection of old land-deeds, personal letters, utensils dresses, diaries, coins, ornaments, religious books, manuscripts of various sorts, punthis, artifacts, and play models of implements, etc. The punthis have been collected to give students a glimpse into the unwritten history of the people.
