This museum houses a collection of Buddhist artefacts and religious art. On view are a range of Buddha images in bronze, silver and stone, in different styles. Lao Buddhas in different postures including the famous, “Calling for Rain” posture, which depicts the Buddha standing with fingers pointing towards the ground; “Contemplating the Bodhi Tree” posture, with theb Buddhas’ hands crossed at the wrists in front of his body; and “Offering Protection” posture where the open palms of the Buddha are stretched out in front of the body, can also be seen.
