A multi purpose museum, the collection include Gandhara and Brahamanical sculptures, Pahari, Rajasthani, Sikh, Mughal and Persian Miniature paintings, contemporary paintings and sculptures, cyclorama of evolution of life, prehistoric handtools, pottery, fossils, rocks and minerals and a section of astronomy and a special gallery on Evolution of Life.
The museum has library facilities.
