The inspiration for the collection called “My Daughter’s Dowry” was started by Brij Bhasin, founder of the Barsana Trust, for his daughter Anuradha even before she was even born. Anuradha has now donated the collection to the Barsana Trust which has continued to add to the collection.

Parts of this collection have been displayed in Brussels, Hamburg and Exeter. A major exhibition was organized at the National Ethnological Museum in Osaka, Japan.
