KVIC: Khadi and Village Industries Commission is a statutory body that took over the work of former All India Khadi and Village Industries Board in April 1957. Among other thing it has been charged with the planning, promotion, organisation and implementation of programs for the development of Khadi and other village industries in the rural areas in coordination with other agencies engaged in rural development wherever necessary. In this regard KVIC may engage with the hand made paper Industries with regard to the sectors rural base.
