Taal, Jhanjh, Ghanta-Brass Musical Instruments of Gujarat

Taal and Jhanjh are both paired brass percussion instruments played by striking the two heads together. Taal is a cylindrical percussion instrument. It is commonly used in classical music and religious ceremonies. Jhanjh is a type of cymbal used in classical and folk music. It is played by striking the two cymbals together. Ghanta is a type of bell used in classical and devotional music, especially in Hindu temple music. Ghanta is played by striking it with a small hammer and is used to create a rhythmic pattern in music. It is also used in religious ceremonies and rituals.

The tools used in the making of these instruments include the Moosh, a blast furnace used to heat the metal to high temperatures; Khoda, a large nail used in construction; Kanas, a file used to shape metal; Pakad, a type of plier used for gripping and manipulating metal objects; and Hathoda, a hammer used to shape and form metal by striking it.
