AN INITIATIVE OF CRAFT REVIVAL TRUST.  Since 1999

Kerala is well-known for its sandalwood handicrafts from Marayoor and Thekkady in the Idukki district, which are made by artisans who have honed their indigenous skills over centuries. The easy availability of high quality sandalwood from Marayoor inspired craftsmen to make beautiful items such as decorated crates, elephant figures, ashtrays, Kathakali dance postures, candle stands, and rhinoceros.
