Nagra is a style of footwear crafted in Agra and Lucknow in the state of Uttar Pradesh. they have a soft rounded front which distinguishes in from other ethnic shoes. initially they were decorated with basic thread work and delicately embroidered in the typical maharaja style. The raw material used are cotton and leather. They shoes are available in various styles from various hand painted motifs and prints to embroider and sequenced designs. Motifs incorporated in the shoes are derived from Mughal architecture and the flora and fauna of Uttar Pradesh which includes leaves, flowers and birds. It resembles the modern day Ballerine footwear.
