Jew’s harp
The average length of a Jew’s harp is 6.5 cm to 9 cm. Bamboo holders of their Jew’s harps are beautifully decorated with very fine poker-work on slips of bamboo, especially those made by the Membas and Tangmas. They reveal excellent skills and a remarkable sense of pattern. The same technique is applied on ear plugs, combs, bangles and smoking pipes, and also on the sheaths for knives of Hrusso and Aka groups.
Mithun Horn or trumpet of the Apatanis is used by the priests to declare open the spring Miko festival. The natural shape of the horn is retained.
