Fishing nets are made with minute detailing in Dudhni village of Dadra. For over three generations the men and women of Rahekar, Warli and Konkna fishing communities residing in this region have been creating fishing nets. Women of the house are employed in constructing and mending nets. The sutar string/ knot is passed through the loop of the previous row and round its two ends. Bamboo sticks are used for constructing nets. In present times, these nets have been replaced by synthetic factory made nets.
