Brass Vessels/ Utensils of Chhattisgarh

The production of brass vessels in the state of Chhattisgarh is concentrated in Pusaur. Among the innumerable ware produced, the most common one is a Ghagra-water pots. The tools needed for the production process are hammer, metal files and hand-operated lathe. Ghahra and handia are part of the numerous vessels made in Pusaur. Lac is coated on the lower parts of the beaten brass pots by turning them on a lathe.
