The Bohra cap derives its name from Dawoodi Bohra comunity men’s exclusive use. the Dawoodi is a sect with in a Shia Muslims ‘Ismaili branch.

The cap is a sign of identity, rich in gold and white and crowns a Bohra man’s head whether dressed for prayer, festivals or just going to work. Earlier worn only during festivals and Namaaz, its use has now spread to everyday wear. New caps are also produced for unique occasions just like fresh clothes.
